Fighting hunger in our communities

Many low to moderate income families struggle to keep food on their tables due to the escalating cost of basic items. The Food Distribution Program was established to help people in need get access to USDA donated nutritious foods in an effort to ameliorate hunger across the Hot Springs and Garland County community.

The Emergency Food Assistance Program is a federal program designed to provide supplemental foods to eligible households whose income is below 125% of the poverty guidelines or who qualify for SNAP, LIHEAP, Families First, Supplement Security Income, or documented residence in public housing.

Applicants must bring the following:

• A photo ID

• Proof of Garland County, Arkansas, residency

• Proof of Income for household residents ages 18 and older

CSO's Food Pantry at 2228 Albert Pike Road in Hot Springs is open Tuesdays & Thursdays from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

The Commodity Supplemental Food Program is a federal program that targets low-income seniors in Arkansas, 60 years of age or older, to help supplement their diets by providing them with commodities and nutrition information at no cost.
