CSO team advocates in Washington, D.C., during 2024 LIHEAP Action Day

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Members of CSO’s LIHEAP team spent two days in the nation’s capital to promote and advocate for the program that keeps the lights on for hundreds of people in Garland County.

LIHEAP Intake Specialist Mariana Cruz, Data Entry Specialist Linda Black and LIHEAP Coordinator George Biggs attended the National Energy and Utility Affordability Coalition (NEUAC), LIHEAP Action Day conference in Washington, D.C., on Feb. 6-7.

The annual event promotes education and advocacy for the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP).

This gathering aims to reinforce LIHEAP’s significance and emphasize its role in supporting vulnerable communities nationwide.
