HOT SPRINGS, Ark. — The Community Services Office’s Father Engagement Holiday Bowling Tournament is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 25, from 3-6 p.m. at Central Bowling Lanes in Hot Springs.
“The Holiday Bowling Tournament is a continuation of our efforts to engage fathers in our programs and community,” CSO Family Service Worker Director Roger Powell said. “We cannot give up on our efforts to pull fathers into the daily growth of our children’s lives in schools. It’s encouraging and uplifting to see fathers step in and assist in classrooms, during field trips, and in programs agency-wide.”
The tournament features 10 four-person teams, with the highest-scoring parent and staff member winning a $100 Walmart gift card.
“The greatest thing about being a father for me is being present,” Powell added. “. It’s a big deal. Children light up in a different way when they have their fathers present and involved in their growth.”
Central Bowling Lanes is situated at 3917 Central Avenue in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
